Trend weekly published communist propaganda
The Trend weekly published a 1-page ad in which the Chinese ambassador to Slovakia, J.E. LIN Lin, says that “China fully adheres to the one country-two systems” in Hong Kong. Organizers of the current protests “are financed from abroad and the situation has begun to show signs of terrorism.“ Although about a third of all Hong Kong inhabitants have repeatedly taken part in the protests, Lin writes about “individuals” causing trouble. Slovak media have previously rejected ads violating human rights or conflicting with their values. Trend, owned by Penta’s publisher NMH, did not reject this communist propaganda.
Facebook and Twitter have blocked hundreds of accounts spreading fake news on Hong Kong by China.
