The Nases agency that runs the slovensko.sk portal, will allow the use of smartphones to verify identity, access inboxes at the slovensko.sk portal, and sign some official documents by the end of this year. Next year, mobile payments of fees will follow. Last October, the agency signed a contract on the supply of the respective module with local companies mTrust and Datalan. Recently, it decided not to use this solution and ordered the module from slovensko.sk’s operator, local firms Swan and GlobalTel. The new module will support both Android and iOS operating systems.
Smartphones will still only be used in the online world, and Slovaks will still have to use their plastic IDs at offices.
