The Justice Ministry submitted for comments a revision to the Act on Voluntary Auctions that tightens the rules for those running the auctions. Under the new rules, they would have to possess the same license as bankruptcy and debt restructuring trustees and will need to have a university law or economy diploma. The auctioneers deem the new requirements absurd and unconstitutional. Over 500 of the current auctioneers do not meet the new requirements. They think no change is needed, since just 1% of all auctions are invalidated for any reason.
