Robert Mistrík sold his HighChem company to Thermo Fisher Scientific

US firm Thermo Fisher Scientific acquired HighChem, a developer of mass spectrometry software based in Bratislava, at the beginning of June. HighChem software solutions are used to identify small molecules and its clients include Apple, Coca-Cola and Nike. It was sold by Robert Mistrík, co-founder of the SaS party and unsuccessful presidential candidate. Last year, HighChem posted a 33% drop in net profit to €0.5m and its sales were down 25% to €1.3m. Thermo Fisher Scientific has annual sales of $24bn. Tabloid Nový Čas estimates the price at €7m.
