ÚRSO will cut the cost of capital that utilities might incorporate  into their costs

Utilities regulator ÚRSO will cut the cost of capital (WACC) that utilities might incorporate into their costs. This should reduce the hike in the price of power for households and SMEs as of January 2020. ÚRSO has disclosed no details regarding the move’s impact on the utilities. The price of power on the Prague commodity exchange came to €52 per MWh in the first half of 2019, 30% above the 1H18 level. If other price components remain stable, households would pay 10% more for power in 2020. The price hike was 6% in 2019.
