Kooperativa has become the largest insurer in Slovakia
Kooperativa, part of the Vienna Insurance Group, has become the largest insurer in Slovakia after last year’s merger with small life insurer Poisťovňa SLSP. Its underwritten premiums are up 32% annually to €620m and its net profit rose 21% to €36.1m. It will distribute 86% of its net profit as dividends. The merged insurer continues to offer bank-insurance products with Erste Group (SLSP bank in Slovakia). Its other priority is digital processes.
