Industrial action for higher wages at the Košice plant of U.S. Steel

The labor union at the Košice plant of U.S. Steel has declared a strike alert after it failed to agree on this year’s wage hike at the 9th meeting with management since mid-January. Last year, the plant paid its 12,000 workers an average wage of €1,876, 8% higher annually.
