PM Peter Pellegrini wants Maroš Šefčovič to be the new Finance Minister, according to sources of aktuality.sk. Šefčovič’ term as European Commission Vice-President expires soon. Pellegrini is in conflict with his party boss Robert Fico over the job. Allegedly, František Imrecze is no longer Fico’s favorite candidate and media are in the dark about his choice to replace the departing Peter Kažimír.
