The then-PM Robert Fico had a phone call with Antonino Vadala back in 2012. Vadala is in Italian prison, facing drug smuggling and money laundering charges. The phone call was recorded by Italian prosecutors going after ’Ndrangheta mafia; its contents were not disclosed. Fico denied the call. Mária Trošková, who was Vadala’s lover in 2012, became Fico’s assistant and lover in 2014.
