The state forestry firm Lesy SR signed contracts totaling €21.6m with Atalian SK at the end of last year for planting trees in various Slovak regions. Last summer, Lesy SR’s forester Matúš Hríbik pointed out Atalian SK’s poor quality, as it just buried trees underground instead of planting them properly. Interestingly, Atalian SK, a subsidiary of a French firm, focuses on facility management and has no experience in forestry.
