Some large banks would refuse to finance Marian Kočner

Some large banks would refuse to finance the business ventures of Marian Kočner, or even open an account for him, for reputational reasons. Bank managers, who said this to the Trend weekly, though, declined to be named. Most of Kočner’s controversial projects were financed by Privatbanka, owned by the investment group Penta. The group says it has never done business with Kočner and did not have any joint business interests or projects with him.
