Vacuumschmelze expands near Piešťany
The German maker of large industrial magnets Vacuumschmelze plans to invest €6m into expanding its plant in Horná Streda near Piešťany. Further investments will flow into new technologies. Upon completion at the end of this year, the investment will increase the plant’s workforce by 66 to 950. In 2016, the plant reported a €1.1m net profit on €21.7m sales.
