Futej is selling PPS Detva

Lawyer Daniel Futej is selling his Detva-based machinery firm PPS Group that employs 1,000 in making welded parts for cranes as well as mining and construction machines. It seems likely PPS will take part in the production of armored vehicles for the Slovak Army. Last year, PPS posted a €0.9m net profit despite a 8% drop in sales to €41.7m. In recent years, the company has faced lower demand from the mining industry.

Futej is close to Juraj Široký. He used to own a 50% stake in health insurer Dôvera.
