Ziegler abandoned its plan to invest €255m in Rimavská Sobota

Ziegler, a German wood processor, has abandoned its plan to invest €255m into a new plant in Rimavská Sobota that was to create 430 jobs, aktuality.sk sources day. Its efforts to sign a long-term contract on wood supplies with Lesy SR, the state-owned firm, failed. Lesy SR is moving towards a system of wood auctions, preferring its existing customers, and doesn’t have enough wood for such a large processor anyway. Ziegler declined to comment.
