Volvo will launch production in Košice in 2027

The state launched the construction of the Valaliky industrial park near Košice, where the Swedish carmaker Volvo will build a €1.2bn electric car plant. The state will invest €73m in the park where Volvo plans to start production in 2027 with 3,000 employees. The initial deadline was 2026. The plant will have a capacity of 250,000 vehicles a year.
