Volvo's new car plant near Košice could produce luxury electric cars under the Polestar brand, a subsidiary of the Swedish-Chinese Volvo-Geely group. The brand has been looking for a site to produce its model 7 for some time, but no decision has been made. The new plant is scheduled to start production in 2027.
