Volvo delays production launch in Košice car plant

Volvo will delay the production launch of its €1.2bn electric car plant near Košice by a year to 2027 due to supply chain bottlenecks, chip and other material shortages, difficult technology, inflation and the war in Ukraine, estimates the E daily. It is possible that Volvo is waiting for new power generation capacity and charging stations in Europe, as the new plant will produce only electric cars.
