Slovakia to launch Covid-19 testing at all borders on November 15

Next Monday, the state will launch Covid-19 testing on the border with Ukraine. Private labs will administer antigen tests. At the moment, every arrival from Ukraine must quarantine for five days and then undergo a PCR test. Starting on November 15, testing will be mandatory at all borders; private labs may carry out the testing. The government is yet to decide whether the tests will be paid. It estimates costs at €25 per test, including equipment and labor. Regular commuters will have to update their ’covid pass’ every two weeks, and truck drivers will be exempt.
