Skanska won tender to complete Višňové highway tunnel

Skanska is the winner of the tender to complete the Višňové highway tunnel, announced Transport Minister Andrej Doležal (Sme rodina). Skanska bid €254.8m, just under the state estimate of €260m. Depending on objections, Skanska will sign the contract in ten days or three months. It offered the lowest price also eight years ago, but the then Smer government preferred better-connected local firms. Tenders for the tunnel’s technology and maintenance center will be called later.
