Samsung to invest €36m in Galanta
The Economy Ministry has proposed providing a €9m tax break for a €36m investment by Samsung Electronics in the expansion of its plant in Galanta. The production of large-screen TVs and monitors for the business sector is to create 140 jobs this year. Last year, sales of the plant producing LCD and LED TV sets rose by 30% to €1.6bn. Back in 2012 they peaked at €3.8bn. In 2018, Samsung closed its smaller plant in Voderady.
