Economy Minister Richard Sulík (SaS) tried hard to convince Volkswagen to move production of the VW Passat and Škoda Superb models to Košice, says Peter Kremský (OĽaNO), head of parliament’s economic committee. VW was unwilling to move half of its car plant to Eastern Slovakia and went to Kremský, demanding to move the talks to the PM’s level. PM Igor Matovič (OĽaNO) then did not invite Sulík to talks on VW’s €1bn investment.
