PMÚ fined Brantner
PMÚ, the anti-trust authority, fined the Slovak branch of Austrian waste company Brantner €0.3m for the unjustifiably high waste landfilling prices it charged to towns Martin and Vrútky. In 2019-22, the company charged them 16-20% more compared to other similar municipalities. The company deems the fine unjustified and has appealed. Brantner Fatra reported a €0.8m net profit in 2020 and its sales were down 5% to €8.1m.
