Penta acquired Nový Čas tabloid

News and Media Holding, a publishing house owned by Penta, is buying the most popular Slovak daily Nový Čas from Anton Siekel. NMH publishes direct competitor Plus 1 Den, weekly Plus 7 Days, Trend, as well as dozens of other titles. Siekel has owned the tabloid since 2017, buying it from publisher Ringer Axel Springer. Nový Čas sells 35,000 copies a day. Plus 1 Deň comes second with 25,000.
