OĽaNO and Smer are the best off financially ahead of September general election

Ahead of the September general election, OĽaNO (€15m in the bank) and Smer (€8m) are the best off financially. Their money comes from the state and the amounts include contributions for this year. SaS has €2.5m, which is below the official campaign limit of €3m. The remaining parties thus face the difficult task of quickly raising the necessary funds. The most popular party, Hlas, was founded after the 2020 election and has not yet received any money from the state. It wants to take out a loan for the campaign. Another popular party, PS, is in a similarly bad situation, having received a relatively small contribution for the 2020 election and still owing its ex-leader Michal Truban €0.4m.
