Negative Covid-19 test will be required to enter the workplace after January 27
The government decided that a negative PCR or rapid Covid-19 test will be required to enter the workplace as of January 27. To go to nearby nature or store, no test is required. The government won’t organize nationwide testing, but the testing will be provided by an extended network of testing centers and by employers. These will get tests for free, plus the government will pay companies €3.50 for each tested person. The government approved an increase in testing centers’ capacity at a cost of €30m. The stay-at-home order has been extended until February 7. Depending on the epidemiologic situation, schools may re-open on February 1. Stores and restaurants will be allowed to re-open in least hit regions as of February 7 based on the Covid-19 automat the government approved in December. All cabinet members voted for the new measures, except for Za ľudí leader Veronika Remišová.
