LOT Trenčín, a state-owned aircraft repair facility, and Norway's Kongsberg Aviation signed a cooperation agreement under which American F-16 aircraft, which are also owned by the Slovak army, will be repaired in Trenčín. All 14 F-16 fighter jets for Slovakia are expected to arrive this year. The state-owned firm should take over their maintenance in 2026. (defence-industry.eu) Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák wants the company to maintain Blackhawk helicopters as well. The new project will increase its employment by dozens of people from the current 273.
