Logistics facility in Čierna nad Tisou competes for EU funds with Ukraine

The Transport Ministry is negotiating with the EU subsidies to modernize the reloading center in Čierna nad Tisou and the adjacent railway infrastructure. The EU is considering funding the reconstruction of a similar facility in Ukraine instead. This would dramatically reduce the use of the Slovak terminal, which is owned by the state and operated by the Budamar logistics group. Initially, the modernization of the Slovak facility was to start next year, but this does not seem realistic at the moment, warns Na Železnicu, a lobby group.
