Košice region VÚC is investing in spa tourism

The Košice region VÚC has recently paid €0.3m to acquire the Gelnica-based spa Turzovské kúpele from a private owner. It is in talks to acquire another spa, Sobranecké kúpele, also from a private owner, for €0.8m. It plans to call an international tender for business and renovation plans and aspires to get EU funds for the future investments. It hopes to create new jobs and develop local tourism.
