Kia launched production of EV4 in Žilina

The Žilina Kia car plant launched production of the EV4, Kia's first electric vehicle made in Europe. The plant invested €108m in preparations. The EV4 will be assembled on the same production lines as the current Sportage and XCeed models. The plant also plans to start production of a smaller EV2 model early next year. It would not estimate annual production of the EV4 and EV2. Hybrid cars currently account for 25% of the plant's output, and both electric models are likely to account for tens of percent.
