Government approved plans to build new hospital in Bratislava’s Ružinov
The government approved a brief Health Ministry’s material, according to which the state will reconstruct and expand the current hospital in Bratislava’s Ružinov district by 2032. After a €432m investment, the hospital will have 1,015 beds. The government is thus abandoning its plan to build a large hospital in Rázsochy, close to the new Penta facility. It wants to build a new children's hospital there by the end of 2031 at a cost of €329m, to replace the current one in Kramáre. The Ministry is now to prepare a feasibility study with deadlines and budgets for the construction of both hospitals. After the completion of Ružinov, the government would close the hospitals in Kramáre and in Mickiewiczova street. It will keep the hospitals in Petržalka and Podunajské Biskupice.
