Families of Ján Kasper and Peter Zálešák invest in startups
The families of Ján Kasper (Soria) and Peter Zálešák (Nay) set up a €15m venture capital fund to invest in startups. Initially, the families invested only their own money, but the new fund is also open to other qualified investors. Its investment committee is led by Andrej Petrus, and the fund invests not only in the CEE region, but also in the US. Its portfolio includes 56 companies in 23 countries, such as ExcepGen, Sensible Biotechnologies, Miros.ai and Lime Therapeutics. The fund focuses on B2B software, artificial intelligence apps, biotechnology, and healthcare technology. So far, it has invested €10m.
