Developers are shrinking apartment size

Growing prices of new apartments have led developers to shrink them to prevent the absolute apartment prices from skyrocketing, reckons Bencont, a developer. Since 2013 the average area of a new 3-room apartment in Bratislava has shrunk from 85 to 75 sqm. Before 1989, it was just 70 sqm. The area in 1-room apartments is often below 35 sqm.
