The rest of the coalition will not let Deputy PM Štefan Holý (Sme rodina) implement his reforms of building permits and rental housing, the daily E predicts. His public procurement reform may pass, as Holý threw away his initial proposal and adopted as his own the proposal of ÚVO, the public procurement authority. The remaining two drafts contain a lot of ill-conceived details, as well as economic and logical non-starters. He wants to guarantee private companies’ profits in operating the building permit IT system and rental apartment financing. His incompetent drafts could thus do more harm than good.
