Vranov nad Topľou-based Bukóza, acquired by Czech RIQ (Roman Staňek) in June, has resumed production. The new owner reduced its debts from €130m to under €100m and invested €20m in the purchase of input materials. It employs 600 and plans to increase the number by 60. For now, it produces pulp and plans to start up the paper mill in the autumn. It is considering investing in technology and energy infrastructure and will apply for EU funds and other subsidies.
