Bosch eBike Systems is leaving Prešov and laying off all 400 workers

Germany's Bosch eBike Systems decided to discontinue the production of motors for electric bicycles in Prešov from March 2024 and is laying off all 400 employees. It has been leasing premises in Prešov and abandoned its plan to build a new plant there. It blames the move on the post-pandemic slump in demand for e-bikes and problems with land purchase in Prešov.
