Average price of new apartments in Bratislava tops €4,000 per sqm
The average price of new apartments on offer in Bratislava stood at €4,010 per sqm (inclusive of VAT) at the end of June, topping €4,000 for the first time, show data of Bencont, a developer. The price is up 14% annually. Developers are shrinking apartments, and the average apartment price thus rose just 7% to €248,000. The economic recovery sped up sales, and fully 810 apartments were sold in 2Q. Some 2,485 new apartments in 94 projects are on offer. Bencont expects the price growth to slow down, despite dearer construction materials and record cheap mortgages, as the prices are already testing the limits of Slovaks’ purchasing power.
