A consortium of Wood&Co, SGS, HKV Law Firm and Siebert+Talaš won a Transport Ministry tender regarding the repair of bridges on 1st class roads. It bid €6.2m. The Ministry says €1bn is to be spent on repairs to 1,200 bridges. The consortium is to first carry out a feasibility study on the use of a public-private partnership (PPP) model for financing the repairs. In the second stage, it is to provide advice within the PPP project. The second part of the contract will only be implemented if the first part recommends the PPP model. Some analysts see this as a conflict of interest.
