3-party coalition struggles to find majority in parliament

MPs Tomáš Taraba, Štefan Kuffa, and Filip Kuffa, who got into the parliament on the extremist party ĽSNS’ ballot but are currently independents, are not going to join Sme rodina’s caucus. They are willing to negotiate support for specific laws. If the coalition loses its majority in parliament, they will insist on negotiating an agreement on the date of early elections.

Sme rodina leader Boris Kollár has repeatedly claimed that several MPs will join the party’s caucus this summer (his highest number was seven), but so far all possible candidates have refused. A potential 3-party coalition of OĽaNO, Sme rodina, and Za ľudí has the backing of only 74 out of 150 MPs.
