RegioJet and Leo Express warn against oligarchs at the Transport Ministry
Czech railway carriers RegioJet and Leo Express have requested a meeting with Prime Minister Igor Matovič (OĽaNO) and warned him that part of the Transport Ministry is still under the control of oligarchs behind train makers ŽOS in Trnava, Zvolen and Vrútky (Budamar, Vladimír Poór and Víťazoslav Móric). Transport Minister Andrej Doležal (Sme rodina) was unaware of the meeting. RegioJet’s 10-year contract to run trains on the Bratislava-Komárno line expires in mid-December and it is not clear who will operate the trains afterwards. The tender for a new operator will not be completed by 2022.
