EU is flooding Slovakia with money but we are unable to spend it

28.05.2020

Slovakia will get more money from the EU in 2021-27 compared to 2014-20. The money flow to Slovakia will be skewed towards the first years; i.e., as soon as possible after the pandemic. Of the €750bn package, Slovakia will get about €8bn. It remains to be seen whether we are able to spend the money, as Slovakia is the 2nd-worst in spending EU funds for 2014-20, with €4bn still on the table.
