Chipita delayed opening of its new 600-strong €60m plant
Greek food company Chipita (brands such as 7Days and Bake Rolls) has delayed opening of its new 600-strong €60m plant near Dunajská Streda from April to September, as foreign specialists necessary for the opening could not get to Slovakia due to the pandemic. It plans to make 72,000 tons of food annually, increasing the total output of the Slovak bakery sector by half. The Slovak consumption of Chipita products is just under €10m annually and the new plant will export nearly its entire output.
