Skanska wants to complete Višňové highway tunnel
Metrostav, Skanska, and two consortia (Strabag, Doprastav, Váhostav and TuCon; Ferrovial Agroman and Budimex) want to complete the Višňové highway tunnel. The national highway firm NDS will review their qualifications and in two months will launch a competitive dialogue. It expects to pay €260.9m and sign a contract by the end of this year so that the tunnel and adjacent highway is completed by the end of 2023. Skanska and Ferrovial are rare bidders in NDS tenders. Back in 2011, Skanska submitted the lowest bid for the tunnel (€338m) but the NDS, under the then Robert Fico government, did all it could to exclude its bid.
