Higher limit for wage reimbursement within the kurzarbeit scheme
Finance Minister Eduard Heger (OĽaNO) is considering increasing the limit for wage reimbursement within the kurzarbeit scheme from the current €880 per worker and month. As relatively few companies have applied for the assistance, the state has the scope to expand the coverage. He is also talking to companies about a new support scheme; namely, the insurance of claims to speed up invoice payments. After the pandemic, the government plans to aid the recovery by public investments, such as speeding up investments into 1st class roads. Heger does not expect the government to launch subsidies for the purchase of new cars.
