Massive corruption case in Žilina courts

Police have filed charges in the massive corruption case in Žilina courts. The charges allege that František Tóth rigged dozens of court rulings in 2015-18 in exchange for bribes of €10-30,000. His key contact was Pavol Polka, head of the Žilina District Court. Eva Kyselová, head of the Žilina Regional Court, is also mentioned in the case. Tóth has been in custody since August 2019, and lawyer Ľuboš Mahdoň has also been charged, while Polka and Kyselová still face no charges.
