IT companies are the most profitable

Among the economy sectors in Slovakia, the highest profit margins (after-tax profit over sales) were reported by IT, 8.5%, according to Finstat data. It analyzed companies’ tax returns over the past three years. Legal services, consulting, project design, and healthcare follow. On the other hand, the least profitable were the sectors of tourism and hospitality, car sales and maintenance, food production, and retail, with profit margins between 0.2-1.1%. The profitability ranking indicates how the sectors will cope with the pandemic.
