Žilina plant of Kia Motors increased its output 3%
The Žilina plant of Kia Motors increased its output 3% to 344,000 cars last year, which is the best result since the plant opened 13 years ago. It also made 435,000 engines, 68% of them petrol ones (engine production peaked at 612,900 in 2016; then, most of them were diesel ones). The plant stopped the production of the Venga model and replaced it with the crossover XCeed. The SUV model Sportage accounted for 56% of the output.
