Retailers’ private brands account for 25.3% of all goods on the shelves of Slovak retailers, up 1.3 points under an annual comparison and the highest share in seven years, according to a survey by the Go4insight agency for the local food chamber PKS. Lidl has the highest share (56%), followed by Kaufland and Coop Jednota (23%). The highest share is in the milk (68%), meat products (42%) and canned food (40%) categories and the lowest in wine (6%), beer (9%), and non-chocolate sweets (12%).
