Petr Kellner will buy TV Markíza in coming days
Markíza, Slovakia’s largest TV group (channels Markíza, Doma and Dajto), increased its operating profit OIBDA by 41% to $7.1m in the third quarter of this year. Its revenues were up 6.1% to $22.1m.
CME, Markíza’s owner, announced in March it is exploring all strategic options, including its sale. PPF of Petr Kellner is allegedly in the final stages of acquisition talks and will sign the acquisition contract in coming days. CME is controlled by AT&T and its subsidiary Time Warner.
