State will allocate €300m annually to ’green’ projects
Starting in 2021, the state will allocate €300m annually to energy and industrial firms for ’green’ projects. The corruption potential of their allocation is vast. The newly set-up Modernization Fund will provide €200m annually in subsidies to projects reducing greenhouse emissions. The Environment Fund will also increase its funding for such projects, from €40m annually to €90m. The final sum will depend on the prices of emission allowances that the state will be selling. The funds will support projects of renewable energies, energy efficiency improvements and energy storage.
