Schaeffler will develop drive modules for hybrids and electric vehicles in Slovakia
The Kysucké Nové Mesto plant of Germany’s Schaeffler will develop drive modules for hybrids and electric vehicles. The German company employs almost 10,000 in its two Slovak plants (the other in Skalica) in the production of bearings. Within three years, it will create 200 new jobs in electromobility. Last year, Schaeffler invested €65m in Slovakia, down 16% annually.
Continental, Schaeffler’s sister company, is developing Industry 4.0 technologies in its Zvolen brake component plant.
